Editorials

Editorials introduce an issue, address matters relevant to the journal or its scientific community, or present perspectives on topics within the journal’s scope. They are normally written or commissioned by the editors and may include announcements, comments, or brief discussions of current scientific and editorial matters.

Editorials can only be submitted by the journal’s editors and are not normally subject to external peer review. They remain subject to editorial assessment and approval by the Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial Assessment

Evaluation before Peer Review
Open submission does not guarantee that a manuscript will be sent for external review. Each submission is first evaluated for relevance to the journal’s scope, scientific suitability, originality, ethical compliance, and conformity with the journal’s principal requirements.

Reviewers provide recommendations and comments to assist the editorial process. The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the manuscript, the reviewers’ reports, the authors’ responses, and the journal’s editorial policies.
